The Olympia Senior Center and the Virgil Clarkson Lacey Community Center, along with the administrative offices of Senior Services for South Sound, will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, for Juneteenth. Aside from this closure, our centers will remain open Monday - Friday during our regular hours to serve our seniors.

What is Juneteenth? Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, honors the day in 1865 when slaves in Texas and Louisiana heard they were free, 2 ½ yrs after end of Civil War.
