This relax paced, interactive, fun class is an ideal continuation of the Olympia Senior Center, Beginning and Intermediate Ukulele Class II,  other similar classes, and for those who have learned on their own. We will focus on refining both individual and group playing skills, learning new strumming patterns, chords, and techniques; while playing songs from a wide range of music. All ages 18+ are welcome as are players with advanced skills.

This class is about participation, learning by playing, and having fun; not perfection.

Participants are encouraged to progress at their own pace. You’ll be most comfortable if you know 7 chords (or have instructor’s approval).

An additional 7th class session, playing at a local venue, may be offered again.

BRING: soprano, concert, or tenor ukulele; tuner; pencil; music stand if you have one; the “Olympia Senior Center Beginning Ukulele Book” if you have one (or one is provided if you don’t have one). Loaner ukuleles are available with re-fundable deposit and prearrangement with instructor.

Room opens at 1:30 pm. Arrive early to get setup and tune instrument.
