Current Volunteer Opportunities

Safety Ambassadors: The Safety Ambassador will greet and welcome guests and members at the points of entry in our Lacey and Olympia Senior Centers. Ambassadors will ensure that all COVID-19 public safety protocols are followed and adhered to. Ambassador must report any issues or concerns to site management. Shift requirement: 3.5 hours weekly, multiple shifts am/pm. Download the Volunteer Safety Ambassador position description.

Senior Nutrition Program: Senior Nutrition Program volunteers help prepare delicious and healthy meals for our Meals on Wheels clients! We have volunteer opportunities in both, our Olympia and Lacey kitchens.

Pet Fund Volunteer Coordinator: The Pet Fund Volunteer Coordinator works directly with our Client Services Director and agency Resource Advocate to assist seniors with Pet needs and emergencies. Strong communication and administrative skills are required.

Senior Transportation: Provide seniors with rides to medical appointments, important Senior Services programs, and other essential errands.

Translators: On-Call language translation volunteers to assist our Resource Advocate program as they help clients with language barriers, all languages.

Care Connection: Database volunteer, must be familiar with MS ACCESS and comply with all confidentiality procedures.

Technology Resource Advocates: The Tech Resource volunteer would receive client referrals from Senior Services Advocates; these clients would be ones experiencing technology challenges; the volunteer would return the client’s call and talk them through the problem they are having.
