About the Program

We’re Reopening Friday, July 2nd!
After over a year of missing seeing your smiling faces in our Senior Centers, we are happy to announce that Senior Services for South Sound is re-opening on Friday, July 2nd! Doors at both our Olympia Senior Center and Virgil Clarkson Lacey Senior Center will open at 10 am and we invite you to join us for a day of welcoming and reunion!

We thank you all for the support you showed us throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether you attended one of our virtual events, enjoyed an online fitness class, sent in a donation, or shared one of our Facebook posts, we are tremendously grateful for your support.

The safety of our seniors, staff, volunteers, and community is our number one priority, and we will continue to work closely with Thurston County Department of Health to ensure we are maintaining proper sanitation and safety guidelines.

Volunteers Needed
As we begin the process of reopening, we will need volunteers to help keep our community safe!

Safety Ambassadors will greet and welcome guests and members at the points of entry in our Olympia and Lacey Senior Centers. They will ensure that all COVID-19 public safety protocols are followed and adhered to, and must report any issues or concerns to site management.

If you are interested in volunteering as a Safety Ambassador, please read through the complete position description on our website and reach out to our Volunteer Manager, Theresa Ziniewicz at 360.586.6181 x 120.
