About the Event

Enjoy fresh air and magnificent Puget Sound views on this journey back in time to the early 20th century aboard the historic steamship, Virginia V. The fifth version of the Virginia was built in 1921 for what was known as the Mosquito Fleet to transport people and goods up and down the sound.
Our journey begins with a special breakfast at Tibbitts Fern Hill, where chef, Shawn Tibbitts makes award winning food from scratch using locally sourced ingredients. After breakfast, we continue on to the Foss Waterway Seaport Museum where you can learn more about the maritime history of the area. Then you’ll board the last operational Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet Steamer, for a leisurely 4-hour scenic cruise to Olympia. You’ll enjoy stories of Puget Sound history as you relax taking in the sights as you pass under the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, cruise past Fox Island, Anderson and McNeil Islands, through Dana Passage and into Budd Inlet. Disembark on the Olympia waterfront and stay for Harbor Days, or catch a ride back to Lacey, the choice is yours. Includes transportation, breakfast, museum admission, swag bag, cruise and snacks. Departs OSC 8:00/LSC 8:30 am. Returns apprx. 5:30 pm.
