About the Event

PJ Howell writes daily in her  office at home. For the first 25 years of her adult life PJ Howell focused on a career in the legal field, first as a legal assistant for 10 years and then as a private investigator for 15. She enjoyed running a business and her  job as a criminal defense investigator but the itch to write a novel became too great to ignore! Eventually, PJ Howell wrote and published her first novel in 2012. That novel became the first in a P.I. mystery series set in Tenino. Two years ago, PJ Howell  decided to give up the “day job” in order to focus only on my writing. Writing didn’t become her main focus until later in life-after college, career and children. PJ Howell enjoys sharing her belief that it’s never too late to to focus on what you’re passionate about and become who you were meant to be! In this talk, PJ Howell will share the  themes of her story who she is, her background, being a P.I; tools she uses to keep track of the characters, books, etc, what she reads, authors and genres she enjoys, publishing and why she decided to self publish, research behind the books, and how it’s never too late to live your dreams.
