We are all experiencing uncertainty due to COVID-19 and the fall out in our world. Many of us have wondered if we will need to face an end-of-life conversation with a loved one.
Based on a true story and recorded from a live Zoom event, “A Gray Panther Passes Through” is a one-act play about an awkward, touching, and courageous conversation. As one reviewer put it, the play “helps people see another side to what they think they ‘know.’ It normalizes something we all go through.” As a participant, you will have the chance to reflect, write, and discuss your own thoughts, experiences, and feelings about what you see. All are welcome. General Public/Members: $20/$15 One Session
Your Teacher: Lou Ellyn Jones is a writer, an Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or “tapping”) practitioner, and a student of contemplative practices. She wrote the play based on conversations she had with her 73-year-old mother as her mother faced a terminal cancer diagnosis. The reader’s theatre production was a collaboration with local (Olympia, WA) theatre artists. For more information about Lou Ellyn, go to her website www.helptofindyourvoice.com
