Vancouver British Columbia is a bustling cosmopolitan city surrounded by natural beauty. Our three-day trip is planned to give you every opportunity to enjoy the parts of Vancouver that interest YOU. Four meals, two nights at the marvelous Sylvia Hotel on English Bay, and the freedom of a hop-on hop-off transit pass are all included in this active getaway.
Our first stop is in Mount Vernon for lunch at Il Granaio, an authentic Italian restaurant in a cool, old granary building. After crossing the border (bring your passport or enhanced driver’s license!) we’ll continue to our lodging at the Sylvia Hotel. This ivy-covered, heritage designated, and fully updated hotel overlooks English Bay. The Sylvia is within two blocks of the entrance to Stanley Park, a thousand acre wooded reserve. There is a restaurant on the first floor where we will have breakfast each morning, but you may wish to explore the immediate neighborhood where you can find ethnic restaurants and choices for dining for every budget. Fine dine or grab a quick bite and head to the beach across the street from the hotel to watch the sunset. The choice is yours for dinner both nights.
Our trip includes a ticket for the hop-on-hop-off trolley tour of the great Vancouver area encompassing Stanley Park, Edgewater Casino, an urban winery, China town, gas town, shopping district, museums, and points in between. The day is yours. We’ll give you all the resources you need to plan your own itinerary or stick with the Tour Leader who will have a fun itinerary lined up with stops along the trolley tour. We’ll get together in the evening again to share our experiences over a beverage.
On our final day in Vancouver we’ll get up early for breakfast together. Then we’ll hop the ferry to Granville Island to spend the rest of the morning. Whether it is arts, history, shopping at the world famous farmer’s market, walking the seawall, or birdwatching, Granville Island has something for everyone. We’ll head stateside mid-day, and stop for a fun supper on the way home.
Includes transportation, 2 nights lodging, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, and hop-on-hop-off trolley pass and ferry.
