STARS Program Assistant

The Stars Adult Day Program is in need of a Stars Program Assistant at our Shelton Stars Site.  This position is 0.3 FTE (12 hours/week) Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm at our Shelton Stars Site in the Faith Lutheran Church at 1212 Connection Street in Shelton, WA. Pay rate is $11.68/hour. In-Home Independent Providers (Caregiving and Housekeepers) Needed for Thurston County 

*Caregiving Compensation: $15-$17 hour - four hour minimum, for one person*

 *Housekeeping Compensation: $18 hour - two hour minimum / per shift / per client*

 

Care Connection, an affiliate of Senior Services for South Sound, is seeking Independent Providers to provide caregiving and/or housekeeping services for persons of all ages in their home.

 

Requirements to schedule an interview:

  • Must have lived in Washington State for at least the last two years Provide resume outlining your experience in caregiving and/or housekeeping
  • Provided three professional references in this field
  • One year experience providing caregiving and/or housekeeping services in a professional setting
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Requirements for being added to the registry:

  • Provide active Washington State business license
  • Provide current CPR certification
  • Provide Washington State Driver’s license
  • Submit to annual Washington State Patrol Criminal and Vulnerable Adult Background check.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements to remains current on the registry:

  • Provide active Washington State business license
  • Provide current CPR certification
  • Provide Washington State Driver’s license
  • Submit to annual Washington State Patrol Criminal and Vulnerable Adult Background check.
  • Provide current malpractice insurance coverage

 As healthcare professionals, independent providers are mandated to report any suspected neglect or abuse of a vulnerable adult. If neglect or abuse is suspected, contact the emergency contact for your client, police, and/or DSHS office as warranted. Care Connection is available as support, not to give advice or direction.
