Senior Services for South Sound seeks a full-time Development Manager to head our fundraising department. Reporting to the Executive Director, this professional must have an established background in coordinating nonprofit fundraising strategies and staff/volunteer leadership.
This role involves organizing fundraising initiatives (campaigns, events and appeals), grant writing, working with board members and building relationships with donors, staff and volunteers. The Development Manager will assist our gift planning manager with implementing major giving and planned giving fundraising strategies. S/he will also work closely with internal grant writer, researching, prioritizing and managing grants.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of fund development experience, preferably in the nonprofit fields. They should also be familiar with donor databases and other fundraising technology to use in their daily job duties.
