Aikido with Brandon Henkins & Charles Pailthorp
Wed, February 21 @ 10:15 am Ÿ Olympia Senior Center

You will be presented a discussion and demonstration of Aikido as a practice well suited for elders. Aikido has developed within the traditions of the martial arts, but with a focus on peace and harmony, rather than combat or competition. Unlike many martial arts, Aikido requires no advantage in strength or speed, and is practiced successfully by people of all ages and abilities. Aikido practice develops flexibility, coordination, concentration, improved health and fitness, effective communication skills, and self-efficacy. All with any interest are invited to attend and discover the principles behind this highly refined art.
