About the Event

Master Weaver, Dr. Susan Pavel ~ sa’hLa mitSa, will share her 20+ year weaving journey with you. She will bring woven items to feel, stories to hear, and a traditional loom to see for yourselves a rich tradition simplified to its essence. As all time honored entities can be simply presented.  Dr. Susan Pavel started weaving the summer of 1996 and continues today. Her weavings can be found in both public arenas such as The Seattle Art Museum to private collections across the nation. She is also the Executive Director of the Coast Salish Wool Weaving Center. Along with weaving for both public and private entities, she actively teaches classes and shares the weave style with anyone who asks. As her master teacher, Bruce Miller ~ subiyay, taught her.
